SPRINGFIELD, GA. (WSAV) — Springfield plans to celebrate Small Business Saturday by holding 'Shop Local on Laurel' on Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a national day to help boost small businesses after Black Friday. The City of Springfield will host their day of support on Laurel Street Nov. 30 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Organizers said that participating local businesses will have specials, discounts and giveaways. “We are excited to bring the community together to celebrate the spirit of small business and support the heart of Springfield,” organizer Nikki Hickman said. Hickman also said that there will be a showing of "Red One" at the Mars Theatre at 7 p.m.
