Seven accused of having weapons at Uptown second line The body camera video shows the alleged shooter, 36-year-old Devin Green, ignoring officers' commands to exit the house on North Tonti Street. “He steps out and just opens fire on the officers,” said NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick. Once the shots were fired, some officers retreated to the rear of the home while three officers returned fire. “Their tactics were excellent,” said Kirkpatrick. “They did what they train officers to do. They remained in cover.” The video also shows an officer assisting Green's mother and brother who exited the house before the gunfight. Following a nine-hour standoff and with the assistance of NOPD's SWAT team, police say Green surrendered.
