Image: Lexington Police Department Lexington, SC (WOLO) — An accident involving two cars in Lexington has now been cleared. The Lexington Police Department worked a two car collision that took place around 8 pm Tuesday night.  According to authorities, the crash caused the outbound lanes of West Main Street at Columbia Avenue to remain blocked for about an hour an a half. Officials were forced to reroute traffic onto Reed Avenue and West Butler Street to help alleviate congestion in the area. Shortly after 9:15pm, authorities reported that the road was reopened allowing traffic to flow smoothly again in the area.     Categories: Lexington, Local News, News
