(CNN)– Dictionary.com announced its 2024 ‘Word of the Year’. And that word is ‘Demure’. ‘Demure’ went viral over the Summer, thanks mostly to a social media and beauty influencer. The company says the word usually describes reserved behavior, but is now also associated with a person’s appearance. Other contenders this year were ‘Brainrot’, ‘Weird’ and ‘Brat’. Categories: News
