(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A person was hit by a truck on Tuesday, Nov. 26 as multiple suspects tried to escape from a business they had allegedly robbed. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department CSPD), officers responded to a reported robbery shortly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the 5100 block of North Academy Boulevard, near the intersection with North Union Boulevard. When officers arrived, they learned that two suspects arrived at the business in a truck, grabbed items from a table, and ran back to the truck. When confronted by an employee in the parking lot, the suspects tried to drive away, hitting a person who was trying to stop them. A second person jumped out of the way, narrowly avoiding being hit, CSPD said. Everyone involved was treated for injuries on scene, CSPD said. The investigation is ongoing and there does not appear to be a threat to the community.
