Citations were pending for a driver who ran into a pedestrian, killing her late Monday in Ashburn on the Southwest Side. Around 11:25 p.m., the woman ran into the street in the 3800 block of West Columbus Avenue and a westbound white SUV hit her, Chicago police said. The unidentified woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where she died, police said. The 48-year-old driver remained on the scene, and citations were pending.
