RPD: Man, 20, shot dead near School No. 50

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Police and New York State Police shut down a portion of Seneca Avenue in the city Tuesday night for a homicide investigation. According to officers, calls for shots fired in the area and cars speeding by came out around 4 p.m. On scene, a 20-year-old man was found shot in the street. RPD confirmed the man is dead.

DA Doorley: Possible cover-up after 2021 Forsythe crash
The road closure currently stretches from Route 104 to around E. Ridge Road. The scene is right next to School No. 50. No children were ever in danger during the course of the incident, officers confirmed on scene.

Captain Frank Umbrino with the Rochester Police Department said they're working with the school to review surveillance footage and talking to witnesses.
