Nov 26, 2024
CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The Clovis Police Department announced they will have additional officers on patrol to deter crime during the holiday season.
Officers and other police personnel will circulate through parking areas, and drive along the retail corridors looking for anything suspicious.
Officials say they want to remind people to lock their cars, take their valuables with them, put packages and anything else thieves might want to take in the trunk
Other tips include parking in well-lighted areas, using the panic button if you have an emergency in your car, asking a security guard to escort you to your car, shopping with a friend or spouse and reporting any suspicious activity you see.
Police say patrols will continue through Christmas Eve.
If you see suspicious activity or a crime in progress, call law enforcement immediately. In Clovis, officials are available at 9-1-1 for emergencies and 559-324-2800 for non-emergencies.
