Another desperate game, another night without Sixers’ veteran stars
Nov 26, 2024
Joel Embiid and Paul George will miss at least another game each on Wednesday when the 76ers host the Houston Rockets.
George (left knee bone bruise) was a partial participant in practice Tuesday but remains out. Embiid (left knee management), Caleb Martin (back) and Kyle Lowry (hip) didn’t practice Tuesday. Embiid and Lowry are out. Martin, who played just 13 minutes Sunday night in a loss to the Clippers, is questionable.
George has played eight games this season after incurring a knee hyperextension in preseason. He left last Wednesday’s game in Memphis with a knee issue, though George said Tuesday he’s hopeful to return within a week.
Embiid has played just four games this year, managing his surgically repaired knee that he played through during the playoffs and the Olympics. He last played in Memphis before being ruled out again, with Houston his third straight absence.
Lowry, who has been averaging 24.2 minutes per game, will miss his third straight game.
