City of Albuquerque looking for polar plunge participants

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is looking for thrill seekers to participate in a polar bear plunge this winter.
Community members are invited to dive or slide into the 40-degree waters at the Sierra Vista pool on Jan. 4 from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the "Shanta Strong Swim Fund," a swim lesson scholarship fund for the city's youth.
Fees to participate:
$60 to take the plunge and nominate someone to join you
$50 to take the slide plunge
$40 to take the plunge
$20 to get out of taking the plunge (someone nominated you)
$40 to get out of the plunge and pass along your nomination to someone else
$10 for a cold bucket plunge and be entered in a raffle to win a prize
