NEW KENT, Va. (WRIC) -- Two crashes involving multiple vehicles in both directions on Interstate 64 are causing significant delays in New Kent County. Both crashes were first reported around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, and are located on I-64 near the Courthouse Road exit. According to VDOT, the eastbound crash involves multiple vehicles, including a logging truck. There are currently five miles of delays. The westbound crash involves multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer. There are currently four miles of backups. "Motorists should seek alternate routes to avoid delays," a VDOT release reads.
