Nov 26, 2024
UPLAND, Ind. (WANE) -- Tickets to one of the most unique traditions in college basketball are available to the general public Tuesday.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., a "limited number" of tickets for Taylor University's annual "Silent Night" game were available for sale. Tickets cost $10.
Tickets will not be sold at the door and are only available on the university's website until sold out.
For those unable to attend the game, Taylor University will broadcast the game and all pregame activities on YouTube started at 4:10 p.m.
Since 1997, Silent Night has been a mainstay of the holiday season at Taylor University. Students attending the game wear costumes and remain completely quiet until Taylor scores its tenth point. After that, the crowd storms the court, and the students also sing "Silent Night" at the end of the game.
The 27th annual Silent Night is slated for Friday, Dec. 6, at 6:00 p.m.
