BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office ended with two people arrested. Narcotics agents with EBRSO were contacted by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics on Monday, Nov. 25. According to EBRSO, JPSO advised that they had completed a search warrant in Marrero and "located information associating their suspect with an address in Baton Rouge." Agents with JPSO found pictures of drugs on the suspect's phone that had been taken in Baton Rouge. According to EBRSO, the suspect also admitted to JPSO agents that there were drugs located at a home on Powerbrook Drive in Baton Rouge. Deputies seized the following items: 47.65 ounces of cocaine. 73 grams of cocaine. 13.57 ounces of fentanyl. 100 grams of fentanyl. 1.25 pounds of marijuana. Seven dosage units of 10mg amphetamine. Four dosage units of 30mg amphetamine. Four dosage units of Adderall. One dosage unit of Oxycodone. $16,792 (pending seizure). Six firearms. LSP: Man arrested after officer-involved shooting in Baton Rouge Deshawn Jones, 42, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (fentanyl), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (cocaine), illegal carrying of a firearm with drugs, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (fentanyl), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (cocaine), illegal carrying of a firearm with drugs, illegal carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal possession of drugs in the presence of a minor. Lakeisha Butler, 41, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (fentanyl), possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics (cocaine), four counts of possession of Schedule II narcotics, illegal carrying of a firearm with drugs, illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal possession of drugs in the presence of a minor.
