Baton Rouge police officer hurt in crash Tuesday morning

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- A Baton Rouge police officer was hurt in a crash on Airline Highway Tuesday morning.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, a motor officer was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries after a car pulled out in front of him from a private driveway in the 9500 block of Airline Highway. The crash happened around 10:20 a.m.
"We ask that you keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers as we wish for his speedy recovery," BRPD said.
According to the Louisiana Traffic Records Data Report, there were 392 serious injuries in motorcycle accidents in 2023.
