BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Community members can send letters to Santa Claus at any North of the River location from Nov. 26 to Dec. 20. Organizers with NOR say if you would like a return letter from Santa make sure the letter is submitted by Dec. 16 with a legible return address. Which major retailers will be closed for Thanksgiving this year? Starting Tuesday, Nov. 26, letters can be dropped off at the big red mail box at the RiverLakes Ranch Community Center, which is located at 3825 Riverlakes Drive. Organizers say this drop off box is available 24 hours. Starting Monday, Dec. 2, mailboxes will be placed at three other locations. The following locations are scheduled to be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with indoor drop off boxes: Greenacres Community Center, which is loated at 2014 Calloway Drive. Riverview Community Center, which is located at 401 Willow Drive. Rasmussen Senior Center, which is located at 115 E Roberts Lane. For more information, click here.
