BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Community Action Partnership of Kern is hosting a Thanksgiving meal for its clients at the M Street Navigation Center and are a few hundred dollars short of what is needed to make it all happen. Officials with CAPK say the generous donation from the community will help the M Street Navigation Center provide a Thanksgiving meal and comfort for a homeless neighbor. According to the CAPK Thanksgiving Meal Drive website, the nonprofit organization is just over $500 dollars needed to reach their $5,000 goal. The $5,000 goal will help the nonprofit organization feeding all of their clients, according to CAPK. To donate, click here.
