Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center recently announced the 34th Annual Tree of Remembrance Memorial Service, coinciding with the celebration of the funeral home’s 75th anniversary. This milestone event will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 8 on the funeral home’s lawn located at 8466 Mentor Ave. in Mentor. The Tree of Remembrance memorial service has been a tradition for over three decades, providing a space for families to honor and remember their loved ones during the holiday season, according to a news release. Attendees are invited to place personalized ornaments on the tree, symbolizing the lasting legacy of those who have passed. This 45-minute ceremony will include a reading of 350 names of loved ones lost since Nov. 1, 2023, music, and a moment of reflection. “Our annual Tree of Remembrance service provides a dedicated time for the community to come together to honor their loved ones,” Adam Sanden, president of Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, stated in the release. “This year is particularly special as we also celebrate our 75th anniversary at the funeral home. “We are deeply grateful to the families who have trusted us over the years, and we look forward to continuing our legacy of care and support.” The event is open to the public, and all are welcome to join in this celebration. Attendees are asked to bring a weatherproof ornament to hang on the tree. Ornaments may be removed at the end of the season by Jan. 6, according to the release.
