Chatham County sheriff honors first responders who saved his life

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Chatham County’s sheriff returned to the job in early September after suffering cardiac arrest.
On Monday, Sheriff John Wilcher took time to recognize the eight first responders who he said saved his life on Father's Day.
"Their actions not only ensured the Sheriff’s safety but also exemplified the unwavering commitment, dedication, and heroism of first responders in our community," the Chatham County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) posted online.

Tyler Reagan, Paramedic
Jonathan Condrey Jr., EMT
Officer Karis Marquez, Savannah Police Department
Officer Sean Galloway, Savannah Police Department
Advanced Fireman David Rowland
Advanced Fireman Frank Lang
Advanced Firefighter Jacob Pearson
"Thank you for making a difference when it mattered most," CCSO stated.
Wilcher, 80, recovered in the hospital for two months after his health event.
