RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Eligible residents in Richmond's Carver neighborhood can buy parking decals beginning on Monday, Dec. 2. According to the City of Richmond, they will be $25. Current decals expire on Dec. 31. To park for longer than the designated time restriction, residents must display the permit on their car. A resident has a driver's license and is either the residing owner or renter of a property within the restricted parking district. Before you get your decal, you have to fill out a City of Richmond Residential Parking Permit Application. The Department of General Services then verifies residency. To apply, owners have to provide either your real estate bill or other information that verifies your ownership, and renters have to provide a lease and have approval from the property owner on he application. Decals and applications are available at City Hall, Room 102, located at 900 East Broad Street. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone with questions can call 804-646-5700. For more information, visit the City of Richmond's website.
