CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A total of 600 turkeys were distributed to the greater community of Central Falls last night. With Thanksgiving just days away, Mayor Maya Rivera teamed up with volunteers from Tufts Health Plan to distribute the turkeys, which were completely free. Central Falls was one of many municipalities throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts that shared in the holiday spirit of distributing food to the less fortunate. First Lady of Pawtucket Laureen Grebien helped distribute 850 holiday baskets, while Mayor Jon Mitchell also helped distribute turkeys in New Bedford.   Categories: News
