CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Thanksgiving Day and football go hand in hand, but the weather is already impacting that this year. The rivalry game between Cranston High School East and Cranston High School West has been moved to Wednesday due to rain in the forecast. Weather Now: rain arrives today; more rain for Thanksgiving Athletic Director Michael Traficante told 12 News that the Thanksgiving Day showdown is more than just a game. "We are very fortunate to have two great bands, Westernettes, Falconettes, Emerald Core, cheerleaders, as well as the ROTC color guard," he said. "It's a great pregame and halftime show, so to create the best opportunity for this to happen, the East/West Thanksgiving day football game has officially been moved."
