LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Valley View Ferry is temporarily shutting down for recertification and repairs. According to officials, the ferry will shut down at 8 p.m. this Saturday for about one or two months. The Valley View Ferry is located on the Kentucky River off of Tates Creek Road. It is near the Fayette, Jessamine and Madison County line. The ferry will be removed from the river for repairs and a required United States Coast Guard certificate inspection.
