HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Police have obtained footage of a truck they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run two weeks ago. High Point Police Department released the following photographs of a truck that they say is a suspect vehicle in the hit-and-run death of a cyclist, who was killed on Nov. 10 near Martin Luther King Drive in High Point. The truck is a red Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500HD with a roll bar in the bed, with large wheels, tow mirrors and clearance lights. Police say that just before 6 p.m. on Nov. 10, multiple first responders were called to the area of West Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Oakwood Street after getting a report of hit-and-crash involving a car and a bicyclist. At the scene, first responders found the bicyclist, Michael L. Isaac Jr., 33, of High Point, dead in the roadway. Investigators say that Isaac was riding his bicycle in the travel lane of West Martin Luther King Jr. Drive before being fatally struck by the suspect vehicle. The driver left the scene before law enforcement and other emergency personnel could arrive. They released this footage of the suspect vehicle in the days following Isaac's death: Isaac's sister, Rhianna Swinney, wants justice for her brother, who she described as a kind-hearted man. "He was a good guy, and he was only 33. He didn’t deserve to just be left laying in the road like nothing,” Swinney said. He had been biking home on the phone with his friend, who Swinney said heard the whole thing. “I would just pray that you find it in your heart to please come forward and admit what you did." Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers. There is up to a $5,000 reward for anyone who reports information to close this case.
