The unidentified man was first seen by a fisherman on an embankment of Lake Townsend, not in the water, around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, and police say he had injuries "consistent" with being shot. Yanceyville Road was shut down for several hours while police investigated. The victim is described by police as a Black man in his late teens to mid-to-late 20s. He died wearing a red zip-up hoodie, dark sweatpants and slide-style shoes. Anyone who knows the identity of this man is asked to call Greensboro Police Department.
