Ever since her first international trip at age 10, Wendy Cohen has had an insatiable sense of wanderlust. She loves nothing more than eating and drinking her way through various cultures and cuisines, connecting with her fellow travelers and sharing delicious and exotic experiences. Whether sipping mezcals in Mexico or enjoying local libations around Baltimore, Wendy savors every chance she gets to dive into a new and unique experience.Laying Roots in BaltimoreWendy grew up in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh and moved around a few times after graduation before ending up in Baltimore for her job at Stanley Black & Decker. While living in Boston, she got heavily involved in the Jewish community there. When she moved to Baltimore, she knew she wanted to continue her involvement in Jewish philanthropy and build her community in a new city, which led her to The Associated.“I just kind of raised my hand and said yes,” Wendy recalls about joining various initiatives of The Associated. This sense of commitment led her to participate in and lead various programs, including the Young Leadership Council (YLC) and the Jewish Community Services (JCS) Advisory Council. Her latest endeavor is one she’s particularly excited about: she’ll be chairing the Young Adult Division’s Cuba Mission next year, and she’s thrilled about blending her passion for travel with her love of giving back. She looks forward to serving as a liaison bringing together other Jewish professionals with similar interests to share the experience.CLICK FOR ARTICLE
