What days mail and packages be delivered on Thanksgiving week

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Thursday is Thanksgiving, a U.S. national holiday celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday in November, falling this year on Nov. 28.
In observance of Thanksgiving Day, most postal carriers will not deliver mail.
What’s open and closed in Ohio on Thanksgiving 2024
The United States Postal Service recognizes Thanksgiving Day as one of 11 federal holidays in which it does not deliver any mail. Post offices will also be closed, with all USPS services returning to normal on Friday. The holidays USPS observes include New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
DHL, a global logistics company, also suspends operations on all public holidays, including Thanksgiving.
As for United Parcel Service (UPS), all store locations will be closed and packages will not be delivered. Stores will reopen and deliveries will resume on Friday. However, UPS Express Critical service is available, customers can call 1-800-714-8779 or visit upsexpresscritical.com.

FedEx will also suspend operations on Thursday. FedEx Custom Critical services are available, however, this is a specialty service that requires a separate account.
Additionally, Amazon does not deliver on Thanksgiving since it is one of the company’s seven observed holidays. According to Amazon's website, its same-day delivery is not available to Prime members on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. Prime members can also expect “limited availability on certain holidays and high-volume shopping days, including Black Friday and Prime Day.”
