SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Don't drive impaired this Thanksgiving holiday — that's the message from AAA.
The Auto Club Group will offer its Tow to Go services in select states, including Georgia, to ensure you're not hitting the road under the influence.
Tow to Go, free to anyone, will offer a confidential ride for one person and their vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius.
The service will be active from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Monday.
Do not wash your turkey and other Thanksgiving tips to keep your food safe
“Tow to Go serves as that last line of defense in keeping impaired drivers off the road,” said Montrae Waiters, AAA – The Auto Club Group spokeswoman. “If you plan to consume alcohol or drugs this weekend, make plans for a safe ride home first. Call AAA if your plans fall through, and we’ll get you to a safe place.”
Here's what to know:
Service areas include Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Colorado (Denver), North Carolina (Charlotte), and Indiana (Fort Wayne/South Bend)
The number to call is 855-2-TOW-2-GO or (855-286-9246)

AAA has offered the Tow to Go program for over 25 years. Officials say they've removed nearly 30,000 impaired drivers from roadways nationwide.
