Authorities on Monday publicly identified a 60-year-old man who was killed last week in a bicycle crash in the Black Mountain Ranch area. James Osmus of San Diego was riding west in the bicycle lane on Camino Del Sur at Casey Glen shortly before 7 p.m. Friday when his bike collided with a Volkswagen sedan traveling in the same direction, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office. Despite lifesaving attempts on the part of the involved motorist and paramedics, Osmus died at the scene of the accident, the agency reported.
