FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) -- A Frederick County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) corporal was granted a prestigious award this month.
FCSO said that the National Society of Sons of the American Revolution, Sergeant Lawrence Everhart Chapter awarded Cpl. Brady Parson with the Law Enforcement Commendation Award on Nov. 19.
“I am incredibly grateful and deeply humbled to have received this award. It was a true honor and privilege to be recognized at this event. There are so many people that have guided me throughout my career thus far at the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, and I would not be in the position I am today without their support,” Parson said in a news release.

Parson joined FCSO in 2017. During that time, he has worked as an instructor on the Proactive Community Enforcement (PACE) Team and addressed continued crime in the county.
"He has consistently demonstrated an exceptional commitment to public safety and upholding the values of the Sheriff’s Office," the news release said.
"Cpl. Parson’s value to the agency goes well beyond his involvement in our PACE Unit. His professional motivation and strong work ethic set an excellent example for co-workers and team members. He is also driven to make sure recruits and other deputies succeed through his involvement in their physical training," Sheriff Chuck Jenkins said in the release.
