Suspect in fatal stabbing near Embarcadero BART arrested

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A suspect accused of fatally stabbing someone near the Embarcadero BART station this month was arrested on Sunday, the San Francisco Police Department said.
Johnathon Calvin Wright, 36, was arrested by BART police, and SFPD took custody of him early Sunday morning.
The stabbing happened at about 5:49 a.m. on Nov. 13 at Market Street and Main Street. The male victim died at the scene.
The suspect fled downstairs into the Embrcardero BART station after the stabbing and escaped, according to witnesses. An SFPD investigation identified Wright as their suspect. He was booked into jail for murder, according to the San Francisco jail log.
According to police, there was an interaction between the victim and suspect before the stabbing. The attack was not believed to be random.
