Garden of Lights returns to Green Bay Botanical Gardens with dazzling displays

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Garden of Lights is lighting up the Green Bay Botanical Garden once again, showcasing over 350,000 lights across more than 40 enchanting, nature-themed displays.
This annual holiday tradition kicked off with the illumination of a 60-foot Christmas tree, signaling the start of the festive season.

Funds raised through the event will benefit local nonprofits, including CASA ALBA Melanie, whose representatives helped flip the switch to officially begin the celebration.
“There are 40 different displays that connect nature, plants, and people,” said Laura Nelson, president and CEO of the Green Bay Botanical Garden. “We have two new displays this year, plus some surprises. It’s a huge event with over 350,000 lights.”
New Displays:
Marigolds in Motion: Interactive flowers that glow when touched.
Touch & Glow: A fun, hands-on experience with 8,000 lights.
Butterflies in Motion: Animated displays of butterflies, chrysalises, and caterpillars with 20,000 lights.
Blue Cove: A hidden hollow illuminated by 12,000 blue lights.
Returning Favorites:
Caterpillar Tunnel: A popular 60-foot-long illuminated caterpillar.
Lake of Lights: A musical light show on the pond.
Holiday Tree: A 16,000-light masterpiece bringing holiday cheer.
Guests can enjoy cookies and hot beverages, shop for unique gifts at the WPS Trellis Gift Shop, or visit Santa Claus on select nights. Visitors can also explore the Winter Wonderland Proposal Experience, a romantic new addition to the Kaftan Lusthaus, designed for unforgettable holiday moments.
Northeast Wisconsin Thanksgiving meal prices remain at or slightly below previous years’ levels

Event Nights: November 29-30; December 1, 5-8, 12-15, 19-23, and 26-30
Doors open: 4:30 p.m.
Last entry: 8:30 p.m.
Lights out: 9:00 p.m.
Value Nights: December 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 26-30.
Peak Nights: November 29-30, December 6-7, 13-14, and 20-23.
