Appleton North Theatre Program earns top honors at state festival

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Appleton North High School cast and crew of the one-act production King Lear received top honors at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Theatre Festival held in Milwaukee.
The team earned the prestigious "Critics' Choice" award for overall excellence, along with additional accolades for "Outstanding Ensemble Acting" and "Technical Theatre."

“Our shows at the state competition draw such a large audience because of our legacy,” said Maggie Hendrick, an Appleton North senior. “It’s amazing to look out and see a standing ovation after our performances.”
This marks the 26th consecutive year Appleton North has received the Critics' Choice award, cementing its reputation as a leader in high school theatre excellence.
