ND Sober Ride back for Thanksgiving
Nov 25, 2024
NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — ND Sober Ride, a program that offers discounted Lyft rides to encourage ridesharing for people planning to consume alcohol, will return for Thanksgiving.
From November 27 to November 30, the Vision Zero program will offer people throughout the state $10 off their rides with Lyft code "VZTURKEY24." The program previously offered discounted rides on Halloween.
Lyft codes are unique to each period available, and a user may only use a code once per time period. Codes can be found on the Vision Zero website.

Codes are sponsored by AAA – The Auto Club Group. Companies interested in helping the effort to keep impaired drivers from taking the wheel can sponsor ND Sober Ride by contacting [email protected].
The Vision Zero strategy aims to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads. The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) reminds people to only drive if sober, or plan ahead by designating a sober driver or using a ride-hailing service as we approach the holidays.
