MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An investigation is underway after a juvenile was reportedly assaulted by men in a white van last week, the Madera Police Department announced Monday. Police say they became aware of a social media post circulating about an attempted kidnapping in the city. Around 6 p.m. on Nov. 21, officers report they responded to the 300 block of South I Street for a juvenile who was assaulted. Investigators say the juvenile was riding an electric scooter when two unidentified men assaulted them. The victim was able to ride away as the suspects fled in an unidentified white van.
