KINGSBURG, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Ever wanted to own a float that looks like a Viking ship? The City of Kingsburg is giving someone a chance to own one. The city says that the float was used by private groups for parades and other events. Those groups are no longer able to maintain and use the float. City officials say the float does run but is not road-legal and will need work. If anyone wants to bid on the Viking ship float, they must write and deliver a sealed envelope to the City Clerk at Kingsburg City Hall. The city hall is located at 1401 Draper Street. Those submitting a big will need to place the Vehicle ID Number (1) on the outside of the envelope and get it to the City Clerk's office on or before 4 p.m. on Dec. 4. For more information or to view the float, contact Public Works Superintendent Dolph Beasley at 559-772-5534.
