VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Neighbors in Visalia alerted a family of a fire at their home that ignited Monday, the Visalia Fire Department announced. Firefighters announced around noon they responded to the 300 block of North Hall Street for a reported structure fire. Crews say the affected family is safe, thanks to the neighbors who alerted them, allowing the family to evacuate safely. Visalia Fire reports the fire ignited on the exterior of the structure and crews are actively overhauling smoldering roofing material. City officials say Hall Street has reopened following the fire and units have cleared the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
