Lakewood police discovered Uriah was abducted after officers responded to a shooting at an apartment in the 1700 block of Kendall Street just after 6 a.m. Monday, spokesperson Rob Albrets said. Denmon is not Uriah’s mother. Investigators believe she had some kind of relationship with Uriah’s father and shot him before abducting the boy, Albrets said. The man was found in the apartment with at least one gunshot wound and taken to the hospital. Denmon is considered armed and dangerous and should not be contacted, CBI officials said in the alert.
