Thanksgiving meals picked up by those in need at The Gray House

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield nonprofit partnered with a local law firm to give out turkeys Monday morning.
A total of 250 turkeys and Thanksgiving sides were packed up for people in need in the Springfield area. Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan & Blakesley, P.C. loaded cars with holiday dinners with the help of the Gray House. Residents who signed up are now able to have full Thanksgiving meals.

Kristen McClintock with the Springfield nonprofit told 22News why it's important to give during this time of year, "For us, it's just about this is what the spirit of Thanksgiving's all about. It's about sharing what we have, and being grateful for what we have and coming together to enjoy some good food."
Feeding America reports that 1 in 10 people in Massachusetts face hunger, including over 160.000 children. If you are in need of food assistance, visit the Gray House online for distribution hours.
