Prepare for busy airports and roads, Sunport says

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Sunport is prepping for a busy holiday week as they expect hundreds of thousands of flyers.
According to airport officials, more than 170,000 people will be traveling through the airport over the next few days.
Wednesday is expected to be the busiest day of the week with about 20,000 flyers. Sunday will be the second busiest.

"Everyone is traveling right now, so we are recommending three hours early because unforeseen circumstances that you can't control. Long lines at the ticket counter. Long lines at TSA," said ABQ Sunport Marketing and Outreach Manager Leah Black.
The airport said most flyers will be leaving, or arriving, in the morning and expect the traffic to taper down during the afternoon.
