Park City police blotter: Vehicles run out of gas

The Park City Police Department logged two recent reports of vehicles running out of gasoline on or close to busy streets.On Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11:36 a.m., the police received information about a vehicle that ran out of gasoline in the area of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Bonanza Drive. The vehicle was hindering traffic at the time of the report to the police.The day before, on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 10:01 a.m., the Police Department was informed of a vehicle that ran out of gasoline in the area of Kearns Boulevard and Richardson Flat Road. The police were told someone was expected to return soon.Other incidents reported to the Police Department recently included:On Sunday, Nov. 24, at 9:22 p.m., a tow truck was summoned to the area of the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Snow Creek Drive. The police said the tow truck was “on scene pulling a truck out of the road.” Public police logs did not provide details about the circumstances surrounding the need for the tow. The police said the case involved a traffic hazard.The Police Department at 6:15 p.m. received information about stoplights reported to not be changing at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Comstock Drive. The police were told drivers were “having issues.” The police described the situation as a traffic hazard.Someone contacted the police at 8:20 a.m., apparently from a location along Lowell Avenue, after locking keys inside a vehicle. The engine was running and the person’s belongings were inside.On Saturday, Nov. 23, at 8:57 p.m., someone was reportedly seen in the back of a Sidewinder Drive building in a utility area. Public police logs did not provide details, but the case was classified as suspected trespassing.A traffic accident was reported in a drive thru of a Bonanza Drive business at 10:27 a.m. One of the vehicles hit the back of the other one, the police said. There were no injuries.On Friday, Nov. 22, at 8:20 p.m., a moose was seen along Park Avenue.A traffic accident was reported at 10:20 a.m. on S.R. 224. Two vehicles were involved. They were not blocking the road at the time of the report to the police. Nobody was reported to be injured, the police said.On Thursday, Nov. 21, at 5:58 p.m., the police received a report about unspecified personal items being taken from a locker on Little Kate Road. The police logged the case as a suspected theft.On Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7:54 p.m., workers were reported to be “making a lot of noise” on Royal Street. The person who contacted the Police Department wanted “them to shut it down,” according to agency logs. The police classified the case as suspected disturbing the peace.Someone reportedly “crashed” a vehicle, apparently a SUV, in the parking area of a lodge on Empire Club Drive at 9:58 a.m. The case involved unspecified property damage, the police said.A case described as suspected fraud was reported on Empire Avenue at 7:37 a.m. The police were told unspecified accounts were “hacked into,” according to department logs. The logs did not provide details about any losses.The police at 1:22 a.m. were called to a location along Monitor Drive, where someone was reported to be “playing music really loud.” The police logged the case as suspected disturbing the peace.On Tuesday, Nov. 19, a 2:50 p.m., a traffic accident involving two vehicles was reported on Swede Alley.
