CEDARBURG, Wis. (WFRV) — A 17-year-old boy from Cedarburg died in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to a report of a crash on Bridge Street, west of Granville Road, in the town of Cedarburg.

Preliminary investigations indicate the teen was traveling west on Bridge Street at a high rate of speed when his vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a tree line on the north side of the road.
The crash is estimated to have occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m., but it was first discovered by a passerby shortly before 7:45 a.m.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both lanes of Bridge Street were closed between Granville Road and Westridge Road for about five hours during the investigation.
