(CNN)– People heading to the grocery store for Thanksgiving are seeing sky-high prices for eggs. Egg prices were up more than 30% in October from just a year ago, according to the Consumer-Price Index. Now, a spike in Avian Flu and the upcoming holiday season are combining to make the problem even worse. And rising prices could affect other egg-based items like mayonnaise and pasta. The USDA warns high prices could stick around well into 2025.     Categories: News Tags: Thanksgiving, U.S. economy
