Rapid Lemon Productions will open their 2025 season with the world premiere of “Honey Bee Baby” by Erlina Ortiz, with Jalice Ortiz-Corral directing. The play will open at Strand Theater on Jan. 4, 2025.Ortiz is a Dominican American playwright and theater maker from Pennsylvania. Her works have been produced across the United States, and with Power Street Theater in Philadelphia, where she is resident playwright and co-artistic director.“Honey Bee Baby” portrays a world where resources are scarce, and everyone must earn their place in the world. A dark comedy and drama centering the ramifications of climate change and overpopulation, two families in very different circumstances navigate their way in a future devoid of bees and so much more.The cast features Isaiah C. Evans, Kaitlyn Fowler, Rakell Foye, K.S.
