FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Monday Evening,
It has been a very mild, but gray day with some scattered rain showers and temps that have been running roughly 10 degrees above normal for this time of the year. We will continue to see some rain showers around our area through the evening hours tonight, with mainly cloudy skies to follow, with lows in the upper 30s to around 40.
Tuesday will start off cloudy, but gradually start to clear up, with temps staying close to normal in the mid to upper 40s. Wednesday clouds will increase across our area, with highs climbing back into the middle 40s. Rain showers will return to the forecast overnight Wednesday into Thursday. It does appear enough warm air will be pushed northward, that most of the area from the city and on south will have cold rain showers on Thanksgiving day Thursday with highs in the lower 40s and dropping.
However, north of the city, expect that we will have some colder air on the northern edge of this system giving us a wet mix in our northern counties, with the better chance up near US-36 and north. Thursday night, clouds will keep temps from getting too cold, as we will drop into the upper 20s.
As we get into Friday and the upcoming weekend, the coldest air of the season will arrive, as temps will struggle into the lower 30s on Saturday under partly cloudy skies. It is likely that wind chills will remain in the upper teens when the Buckeyes game starts on Saturday. A weak disturbance will roll through Saturday night with some scattered light flurries and lows in the lower 20s. Sunday will be another cold day with a few flurries around, rather cloudy skies and highs in the upper 20s.
Partly sunny skies will return early next work week with a good deal of cold air still in place, and highs only in the lower 30s.
