PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Police in Prince George's County have identified the woman who was hit and killed by a car in Accokeek on Friday night. On Nov. 22 at around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Indian Head Highway and Farmington Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. There, they found Loretta Canter-Andrews, 40, of Accokeek, in the roadway suffering from trauma. She died there. Man dies after fire erupts in Prince George’s County home, fire officials investigating Police said an investigation showed that the driver, who did not stay at the scene, struck Canter-Andrews in the northbound lanes of Indian Head Highway. As of Monday morning, officers are working to identify the driver involved in the crash.
