SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A verbal fight between two females, ages 17 and 21, turned violent Sunday evening at Paradise Hills Community Park, authorities said. According to the San Diego Police Department, the females were drinking within a group around 4:40 p.m. when an argument started. From there, the 17-year-old reportedly struck the 21-year-old with her stiletto heeled shoe. That's when things escalated. Police said the 21-year-old pulled out a butcher knife and stabbed the teen in the chest. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She is expected to recover from the stab wound. Southeastern Division detectives are handling the investigation into this incident. Anyone with information related to the stabbing is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. It's unknown at this time if an arrest was made. No further details were immediately released.
