New homicide case launched in north Topeka after deadly shooting

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Police Department (TPD) is investigating the 19th homicide of 2024 after a shooting Sunday night.
Just after 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 24, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2000 block of North Kansas Avenue. One person was declared dead at the scene by first responders. The incident is currently being investigated as a homicide, according to the TPD.
