Since October 30, the department says their Brush Three truck has responded to around 600 calls for smaller fires. They say it mostly responds to calls in the east Central Corridor and northeast heights. The department is urging the public to all 9-1-1 if they see any fires. AFR is asking residents to provide the location of the fire, what is burning if possible and if any structures are being threatened. [2] Free Thanksgiving meal giveaways in Albuquerque - La Mesa Presbyterian Church is hosting their 29th annual Feast of Hope, which serves around 1,200 meals each Thanksgiving. That group is a domestic violence prevention organization in Albuquerque. The coalition says the money will be critical in addressing the overlap in gun violence and domestic violence. [5] Lobos linemen purchase turkeys for families in need with NIL funds - Several UNM football players spent their Sunday donating their time and NIL funds to buy turkeys and fixings for those in need. Last week, the Lobos posted on social media to say they were going to host a turkey drive. Thousands reacted to the post and over 100 people pre-registered. In preparation for the crowds, the players purchased over 300 turkeys. Each person who drove up to the stadium received a turkey, cans of corn, potatoes, and other veggies.
