ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a battle for three quarters at the Pit on Sunday, as UNM played Gonzaga, but the Bulldogs would pull away in the 4th quarter to win, 81-68. UNM only trailed by four at the half of this game and would have solid performances out of Viane Cumber and Destinee Hooks.

Cumber finished with 16 points and Hooks would lead the Lobos with 24 points, but Gonzaga's size would be a major problem for UNM as they outrebounded the Lobos 46-28. Gonzaga also outscored the Lobos 24-15 in the 4th quarter to close out the victory.
UNM's record now drops to 3-3, but they will look to rebound at home as they host UC Irvine on Wednesday at 7pm.
