Victim identified in I64 shooting in Richmond, state police investigating

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police has provided an update in the shooting on Interstate 64 in Richmond.
At 11:38 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, a shooting took place on I-64 Westbound in Richmond at the 186 mile marker.
According to VSP, state troopers responded to the scene of the incident after the report of a shooting that took place between two vehicles traveling on the highway.
Police identified one of the victims as 40-year-old Calvin W. Carter Jr. of Henrico. He was taken to VCU Medical Center in critical condition from gunshot wounds.
VSP said there has not been any further threat to the public.
